Good used set of 89 style shift cables. Cross over and selector cables with fresh Design Engineering heat shields that have also been filled with ceramic heat protection cloth. This cover can handle anything your turbo and exhaust pipe can dish out, then take on more. Cables still glide nicely, accordian boots are still present but one boot is torn, easy fix with fingers from a playtex or rubber work glove and a zip tie.
87-89 style shift cables use the same attachment at the shifter (see the picture) but the transmission end has a different style of end on one cable for 87-88. You can easily interchange the selector shaft bracket, we have those also! These cables can be used on 87-89 cars w/o issue as long as you have the correct selector shaft bracket and if you dont we have them available too.
These cables will not fit the early 84-86 shifter design, but you can of course put the better design 87-89 shifter in your 84-86 car and use these cables.
