NOS T1 "Log Intake" style AIS SENSOR, fits all 1984-1987 Garrett turbo 1 (log) engines. There are two styles, the 84-86 and then the 87. They are functionally the same but the later 87 only style comes with a nice removable harness connector rather having the wires directly soldered to the motor body. Both styles are 100% interchangeable from a functional point of view. The later 87 style AIS set is the one that uses the detachable harness connector. It doesn't really matter which set you have, they are still interchangeable and it's plug & play.
If your application is for an 84-86 log motor with the AIS that has the two wires soldered directly to the motor body, you will need the improved 87+ pigtail set with integrated spade connectors. You will just remove your two existing wires from the AIS/TPS sensor pair connector and slide in the two new spade connectors to replace them.
The AIS motor is NS1/no longer available and there are no aftermarket parts available. Getting harder and harder to find in any working condition, it's not really a matter of if your AIS motor is going to fail, it's more a question of when. Great to have in your spares stash for sure.
