This set can be used to upgrade just about any 84+ 90 Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth automobile (Omni, Charger, Daytona. Laser, 600, Horizon, Shadow, Lebaron, Spirit, Duster, Rampage, Scamp, etc.) with front disk brakes to the larger 60mm Kelsey Hayes single pin disk brake setup. The 60mm caliper was available only on the 84-90 Caravan/Voyager S-body platform with 14" wheels but is a direct bolt on upgrade for all the other K-car era cars. This upgrade is a direct bolt on brake upgrade system for both 4 and 5 lug hubs and requires no other modifications when combined with the recommended Shelby Daytona 24mm master cylinder that is included with this set.
This is a very popular upgrade that will give you greater braking force in the front brakes and also makes brake pad service much much easier due to the use of the single pin Kelsey Hayes brake caliper. This is a great upgrade for the L-body cars like Omni and Charger as well as early Daytona and Lebaron turbo cars that came equipped with any other brake caliper. The 60mm caliper is the way to go for the best factory bolt on brake upgrade and for ease of brake pad service.
The complete set includes the following items:
- 1 pair of reconditioned Left/Right Kelsey Hayes 60mm single pin brake caliper BRACKETS with mounting hardware(from S-body 84-90 Caravan/Voyager donor vehicle)
- 1 pair of rebuilt 60mm Kelsey Hayes brake CALIPERS, re-manufactured, w/mounting hardware
- 1 pair of new premium Caravan/Voyager 260mm brake rotors (4 or 5 lug as needed)
- 1 pair of new caliper to body brake hoses (left/Right)
- 1 set of new metallic brake pads w/ Teflon shims
- 1 new 24mm Shelby Brake Master cylinder with reservoir
