Glen Van Sant’s T2 2.2 Marauder Chevron B16
Glen Van Sant’s Marauder Chevron B16 isn’t just a project car, it’s a story that’s been quietly unfolding for over two decades. More than 20 years ago, Glen picked up the rare Marauder Chevron B16 fiberglass body and tucked it away in his garage. Life had other priorities at the time, so the car waited patiently, untouched but never forgotten.
When the time finally came, Glen didn’t take shortcuts. He started from nothing and built everything himself. A completely custom chassis, one-off suspension geometry, a hand-crafted interior, and every mechanical system designed and fabricated to fit his vision. This isn’t a restoration, it’s a ground-up creation shaped entirely by his hands.
At the heart of the build sits something special: an original Shelby 2.2 T2 intercooled turbocharged engine, paired with a Getrag A555 transmission. Both were fully rebuilt and personally delivered to Glen by Steven Seale, the owner of TurboDodgeParts.com. That moment marked a turning point, bringing the project one big step closer to life.
Now, as the build enters its final stretch, the focus shifts to the body. The goal is perfection. Every panel carefully smoothed, every line laser straight, all in preparation for a bold, bright yellow finish that will highlight every curve.
After years of patience and craftsmanship, Glen’s Chevron is almost ready to make its long-awaited debut.
