HEAVY DUTY L-BODY A525 to A520/A555 CONVERSION BRACKET SET

Our Custom brackets allow you to install the stronger A555 or A520 transmission in any L-body like the Charger, Omni, Rampage or Horizon AND keep the rod shifter and factory dog bone setup. No hunting an 1987-1989 A555 5 speed shifter, bracket and cables from a Shadow or Daytona, no need to cut holes in the firewall or floor and no interior console modifications needed at all.
The conversion bracket comes complete with two conversion brackets, a large one and a small one. The large bracket mounting hardware is included, you mount the smaller bracket using your existing differential cover bolts. A new replacement torque strut (dog bone) is also included. You can use any of our shift rod setups or even your factory shift rods without modifications!

We discovered a unique way to take the A525 torque strut and shift lever bracket off the differential cover, modify it and then weld it to a modified A520/A555 bobble strut bracket to make a hybrid bracket that fits and works perfectly with or without the hiem joint shift rod upgrade. There is a second totally custom bracket included that holds the shift selector lever and it's pin for a total solution that has an OEM look, fit and function.
This system works great, is easy to install in about an hour (with the transmission already in the car) and yields a greatly improved and precise shift feel. No more mystery gear shifting when combined with the Quick-Fit, Street-N-Strip or Quick-Connect shift rod upgrades.
